A young woman named Mia in a small Midwestern town goes to a traveling
carnival one evening, where she is urged by a silent clown to visit the
carnival's circus and see the Aerialist, the show's star attraction. She
is entranced by the Aerialist, but during his act he misses a catch and
falls to the ground. She rushes to help him, but then the ground
beneath them gives way and they fall through into the dreamlike world of
Cirque du Soleil.
Separated, they travel through the different tent worlds trying to find
each other, interacting with the strange and wonderful performers and
performances of Cirque du Soleil. Mia and the Aerialist perform an
aerial courtship for the grand finale.
"Girls" is Created/Starred/Directed/co-Produced/Written by Lena Dunham (3rd from left sporting a tattoo... over achiever lang ang peg ateh?), Girls is a comedy-drama following a close group of twenty-somethings living in New York City. The show's premise and major aspects of the main character were inspired by some of 26-year-old Dunham's real-life experiences.
sneak peak:
IMO, i have DL 6 episodes of Girls... & im not planning on watching
it... i can't relate to the story/dilemma... Girls has a very thin line between love & hate... its either you super hate it or you mega love it... in my case i hate it, di ako ma karelate & to think all the characters are in their mid 20's lang, parang super emotional roller coaster na tipong next epi e end of the world na ang drama... i think you have to live in
NY, in your magulong uncertain 20's to be able to relate to them
p.s. lena... pls. lang take a chill pill... nakaka stress ka & sabayan mo na rin ng matapang na kape... kabahan ka naman minsan... masyado ka nang overexposed!!!
"Underemployed" follows a group a five friends-- (left to right) Miles, Daphne, Sophia, Raviva and Lou --all filled with lofty goals, romantic dreams and
hopefulness for complete world domination on their road to adulthood.
But what happens when things don't go exactly according to plan? It picks up one year after their college graduation when reality has set
in and the group struggles, often comically, to stay optimistic through
the major life changes young twentysomethings know all too well,
including dead-end jobs, terrible bosses and romantic mistakes.
sneak peak:
IMO, i love like Underemployed (i am DL the whole season 1) its more easier to relate to, everyone is easy on the eyes... it has a Friends (Tv) element to it... with everyone hanging out in the living room/housemates/dinners etc. from the 5 cast, i think i only hate Raviva, although i love her name... fingers crossed there's a 2nd season =)
im a late bloomer when it comes to music... i tend to like songs/artists 3-5 months after the hype has died down... or in this case years?? so anyway im currently obsessing about Bruno Mars & the hooligans, they are a fun group to watch... it feels/looks like they're high on something & just jamming in their garage/basement... with the angry neighbors calling the police on them
here's 2 songs/videos that is currently heavy on my rotation... enjoy =)
